Ohio law authorizes state agencies to adopt, amend, or rescind rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code (R.C.).

A public hearing is scheduled for February 14, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the ODNR Horace R. Collins Laboratory, 3307 South Old State Road, Delaware, OH 43015.

The rules were filed to correct errata remaining from the September 2017 comprehensive review, reorganization, and filing of rules governing fire charters, fire service and fire instructor training, professional standards, and discipline; to incorporate revisions required due to the publication of 2019 NFPA standards; and to address inconsistencies created by the EMS IT system.
