FREE PARAMEDIC REFRESHER COURSE OPPORTUNITIES

Dear Rural Paramedic Providers of Ohio:

As a result of surveys conducted in 2018 with rural Ohio EMS providers by The Paramedic Foundation (TPF), the Ohio Division of EMS and the State Office of Rural Health identified that availability of quality continuing education was among the top rural EMS issues facing Ohio.  Late in 2018, the federal government provided supplemental HRSA funding through the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program.  Ohio was one of several states who applied for and was awarded supplemental funding in support of rural EMS issues.

We are pleased to announce that funding is available in 2020 for rural Ohio Paramedic providers to apply for a free Paramedic Refresher Training Program delivered by Community Partners and TPF!  Paramedic refreshers currently available include January 27 – February 29, 2020, and June 1 – June 29, 2020.  In order to be considered for either of these  refreshers, visit www.cpartners.org and follow the directions listed under the “Ohio FLEX” tab at the top of the homepage.  Community Partners and TPF will notify you of your selection and provide all additional information concerning these offerings.

In addition, TPF and Community Partners will also provide in-person and webinar-based continuing professional development and educational opportunities in 2020 at no cost to EMRs, EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics.  More information concerning these additional offerings is also listed at www.cpartners.org under the “Ohio FLEX” tab at the top of the homepage.
