Attached is an updated GMVEMSC Just in Time Standing Order (JITSO) for optional use by EMS agencies to administer monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for treatment, and in some cases for post-exposure prophylaxis after exposure to COVID-19.  Treatment with mAbs can reduce risk of hospitalization or death due to COVID-19 by more than 70%.

This JITSO was updated based on the recent experiences of Dayton Fire Department and Washington Township Fire Department.  Those departments have now administered mAbs to patients in local facilities.  If your agency chooses to do so, this JITSO can be used in several settings:

If your agency might consider delivering mAbs, let us know by filling out this very short survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JCT3F6N.  Completion of the survey does not obligate your agency to ANYTHING.

Attached are Administration Check-Off Sheets.  Hospitals and others may be able to assist with training, and in some cases, your personnel may be able to observe (and assist) at centers currently delivering mAbs.  Finally, there is now a link to the EUA Fact Sheet for Patients included in the JITSO.

Information brought to you by Dayton MMRS with approval from Dr. Marriott, Region 3 RPAB Chair.  We gratefully acknowledge the help and support of GMVEMSC, and public health, public safety, emergency management and other agencies and individuals throughout the region.
