As a PR Co-Chair with Greater Miami Valley EMS Council, I would like to say I respect and appreciate your time in reading this email.
When was the last time your organization recognized the efforts of your EMS providers? If it’s been a while, or perhaps you haven’t taken the time, ask
yourself why not. In this day and age of social media, we see the organizations that take the opportunity to recognize the efforts of those who are making a difference from time in service milestones/retirements to exemplary service. Opinions vary regarding
the presentation of awards. No matter what your personal opinion may be, those who put in the work must maintain their diligence and dedication to the mission, no matter their capacity. Some have the idea, “It’s the job you signed up for. Why do you need
recognition?”
Meanwhile, others are sitting back thinking, “no one sees or appreciates what we do.”
I volunteered for this committee because I know many in this region deserve to celebrate their efforts. Please share the following across your ranks;
I guarantee someone in your organization deserves to be recognized, and simply nominating them may be uplifting for not only that person but your entire organization. Please feel free to contact me
pbalcom@riversideoh.gov with any questions or concerns.
Attached are current awards, including from the State ODPS and GMVEMSC, open for nominations. ***Note the deadlines***
