Ohio law authorizes state agencies to adopt, amend, or rescind rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code (RC).
Rules in OAC chapters 4765-7 (Accreditation of Training Programs), 4765-12 (First Responder Certification), 4765-15 (EMTs), 4765-16 (AEMTs), 4765-17 (Paramedics),
and 4765-19 (EMS Continuing Education) were filed for five-year review with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR) on Aug. 29, 2023.
A public hearing is scheduled for
Oct. 2, 2023 at 9 a.m. in room 1108, located at 1970 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43223.
OAC Chapter 4765-7 is amended to update forms, to distinguish between initial and renewal certificates of approval, and to align more closely with fire charter requirements.
OAC Chapter 4765-12 is amended to add requirements for training on individuals with dementia and to reflect EMFTS Board action.
OAC Chapter 4765-15 is amended to add requirements for training on individuals with dementia and to reflect EMFTS Board action..
OAC Chapter 4765-16 is amended to add requirements for training on individuals with dementia and to reflect EMFTS Board action..
OAC Chapter 4765-17 is amended to add requirements for training on individuals with dementia and to reflect EMFTS Board action..
OAC Chapter 4765-19 is amended to establish limits for earning training hours, and to simplify language in referring to the “Incorporated by Reference” rule.
