The message below is being forwarded on behalf of Sarah Pearson with Dayton Children's Hospital:

I have been advised by a few organizations that a local medical equipment supply representative is advising EMS to purchase a device called the Air-Q (it's an LMA with gastric tube access). 

  

This is NOT correct, and has been addressed. We have continued to carry a basic LMA in our main campus supply room, and it has been added to the South campus supply as well. This is the same LMA that was available for EMS before some departments transitioned to the King. 

  

As of now, I still do not have a resolution on the King airway situation. As soon as a resolution is found, you will be the first to know.
