Verizon modems for transmission of 12 leads to hospitals. gmvemsc@gdaha.org 15 Jun 2018 13:47 EDT

There have been departments in the area receiving an error message while transmitting 12 leads to the ED. The errors were occurring with Physio products, so I contacted our service representative with Physio. He stated Verizon is in the process of updating their towers in preparation for moving away from 3G. He stated this has or will (in the near future) cause an error on the modems during transmittal of 12 leads to the ED. He provided a number (1-800-732-3081), which is the smart desk for Physio. They were able to update my modem and solved the issue. When you call this number you will need to have your modem connected to the monitor as well as a computer, utilizing a USB A/B cable (usually a printer cable). The technician with the smart desk will remote into your computer and update the software. Then you need to test the modem utilizing the test transmit function, so the technician can ensure the modem is still communicating with the network. These instructions are only for Physio products and if you are utilizing a different manufacture, I recommend you contact them to see if there is a needed update. If you have any questions let me know.
