Share this email with all EMS personnel!  Our next Quarterly Triage Day (QTD) will be November 30^th, 2022, starting at 8:00 PM and continue to December 1^st, 2022, at 8:00 PM.  EMS personnel need to know their MCI tools. Those include triage ribbons, treatment tags, MCI radio talk groups, and the Surgenet MCI page.

During this exercise, every EMS patient should receive a triage ribbon and a GREEN Treatment Tag.  DO NOT use “live” White Triage Tags for the drill. Those are only for real world incidents. 

• EMS crews transporting patients to a hospital between 8:00 PM and Midnight on 11/30 or 8:00 AM and Noon on 12/1 should provide a brief, MCI-style report to the hospital over MCI radio talk groups.
• Consider scanning your Treatment Tags into OHTrac.  If you can, please do!  Use the OHTrac app – we’ll have the OHTrac Incident already created.
• Attached is a QTD Job Aid for EMS personnel that can be used as a reminder of the QTD processes.

Each hospital will update the GDAHA Surgenet Mass Casualty (MCI) page at least every 8 hours.

• We encourage everyone in EMS to look at the GDAHA Surgenet MCI page: https://gdaha.surgenet.org (the same website you use for Hospital Reroute information). During an MCI, it’s a potentially invaluable tool to help your Transport Officer avoid overloading individual hospitals. 
• If you don’t have a login (EMS agencies can use generic apparatus logins), or if your login doesn’t display the MCI section, just click the Request Access button.
