Through the efforts of the Human Trafficking work group this group, we have been able to successfully formulate a Human Trafficking Toolkit that will encompass resources for Healthcare providers across the Greater Dayton, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky regions for both Adult and Pediatric populations. I am proud to announce that this Human Trafficking Toolkit will be presented at the upcoming 2024 Human Trafficking Conference on Human Trafficking Awareness Day, January 11 2024 at the beautiful Dayton Masonic Temple. Our hope is that this tool will offer an abundance of resources to guide the care that your organization provides, and will also offer support to your teams in navigating such fragile and sensitive situations. In addition to the toolkit, a new business card will be published for patient resources as well, including resources outside of the Dayton area.

This conference does offer Social Work, Licensed Counselor and Nursing continuing education credits as well as a continental breakfast, buffet lunch and a wonderful panel of experts—many representing this work group. Panelists this year include Pediatricians, members of the Montgomery County Task Force, Nurses and EMS providers.

Please share this conference information widely with your teams—this is an excellent event. In 2024, our hope is to move the toolkit into practice and begin to develop policy and education, in addition to updating the everchanging landscape of resources and best practice care.

Thank you for your role in this work, and have a wonderfully safe holiday season!
